Minot Projects

Welcome to our Minot, ND City Serve ND page.  Click on the projects listed below for more information or register to be a part!

City Serve 2023 Projects take place Tuesday, May 30rd- Saturday, June 3th. 

Tuesday 

Craft Night

Family Friendly!

You will be writing/decorating thank you notes for the men and women at our fire stations, police station, EMS, and Trinity Hospital staff. You will also create pictures that will be given to them and displayed at different places!

Tuesday - Friday

Meals on Wheels

Adults are needed to help with packaging the meal and distributing it to those homebound in our community. Must be 18+ to drive.

Children will have the opportunity to decorate delivery bags and to ride along with parents to deliver the meals and visit with seniors.

Laundromat Ministry

Doing laundry can be boring and monotonous experience for those doing so at a laundromat. Team members will help brighten those coming in by assisting them as they do their laundry, provide loose change, laundry soap and some wonderful conversation about the love of Jesus.

Foster Family Care Packages

Team members will be assembling welcome baskets for newly licensed foster parents. The baskets will include essential items needed in a foster care home.

 

Adults and children are needed to help with organizing and packaging the materials.

Wednesday

Park Clean Up and Planting

Team members will be helping the Minot Parks and Rec department with planting flowers, landscaping and cleaning up trash in Oak Park.

Wednesday

Student Clean Up at the Zoo

Jr & Senior High students will be able to help with cleaning up the zoo with various activities. Painting, raking, sweeping pathways, outside grounds work, and more!

Sorting Donations at Project BEE

Project B focuses on increasing financial equity through their supportive services such as: Emergency shelter, diaper pantry, career closet, basic needs pantry, and so much more.

There is need to sort through the donations and placing them on the newly built storage shelves at the shelter!

Building/Painting Cubbies at Project BEE

Project B focuses on increasing financial equity through their supportive services such as: Emergency shelter, diaper pantry, career closet, basic needs pantry, and so much more.


We have the opportunity to bless them by building and painting storage cubbies! Construction/woodworking skills needed. Bring hand tools.

Downtown/Main Street Clean Up

The heart of a city is downtown! Minot's downtown holds many local business and activities through out the year.

 

We will be helping clean up Downtown/Main St. Raking, sweeping pathways, outside grounds work, picking up trash and more!

Dream Catchers Softball Buddies

The Dream Catchers is a group of over 70 children with disabilities that play sports together. Have an amazing time being a buddy on the field to one of the athletes during one of the three games!

Need to be at least 16 years old to be a Buddy.

Dream Catchers Softball Cheering

The Dream Catchers is a group of over 70 children with disabilities that play sports together. Have an amazing and family fun time cheering on the athletes at the Dream Catchers games! You can attend one, two or all three games!

Friday

Baked Goods for Hospital Staff

As a small token for always being there when we need them most, this projects aims to show some appreciation to hospital staff around the Minot area!

Team members will meet to bake various items to be packaged and then delivered to the hospital for staff.

Men's Winter Refuge - Removing Old Roof

The Men's Winter Refuge is a men's homeless shelter that has served over 1,200 men since 2013. We have the opportunity to serve them by replacing their roof! This signup is for the removal of the old roof. Bring hand tools. 

 

Must be 18+ years old with roofing or construction experience.

Foster Family Car Detailing

Team members will be detailing the car interiors for foster parents and their families.

 

It is recommended that participating children be 12+ for this service project.

Team members will meet to prepare freezer meals for our Firestations and EMS personnel.

 

It is recommended that participating children be 16+ for this service project.

Police Car Detailing

We have the opportunity to serve our police department by detailing the police cars.

 

You will need to pass a background check to participate in this project.

Churches across the state are joining together to serve their communities. In appreciation for the love and care you give to children, we would love to clean and vacuum the interior of your vehicle.
